Soy/Beeswax - 2/3 soy wax and 1/3 beeswax
Palm/Soy - 3/4 palm wax and 1/4 soy wax
I only use unmixed pure beeswax in small glass 'honey jar' containers with lids. I do make pure soy and palm wax pillar candles.

I make the Premium Beeswax candles with and without 'golden honey' colouring, a little of which adds warmth to the natural, more olive tones of beeswax. It is popularly used when making beeswax or beeswax blend candles.

Oh, boy. I am having a rock nerd moment. Or is that cave nerd moment? Whatever. I was just browsing through some Parks Victoria and related sites and found these links. Look!
Ganked from artbroken... I do rather enjoy doing some of the music memes.

Smile To Cut Crime
by Heather Gallagher
Do you smile at strangers? You will soon if police have their way.
As part of a crime prevention strategy, Darebin police are planning to install 70 signs throughout the municipality, declaring the streets "smile zones".
And smiles will be recorded starting with a Preston Neighbourhood Watch group, which launched the campaign at West Preston Primary School last week.
Neighbourhood Watch coordinator Sue Agar said two streets had been designated for smile counts where volunteer auditors would record how often people greeted them with a grin.
Six smile signs will be installed around Gilbert Road and Jesse Street.
Ms Agar said she hoped the program would lift spirits.
"We'll suss people out and see how many smiles we get," she said. "It's been proved that if neighbours know one another crime comes down."
The areas will be audited a second time within a few weeks to see whether the number of smiles has increased.
The program's facilitator Sen-Constable Sophie Leete said other streets earmarked for the first stage of the roll-out included Bracken Avenue and Albert Street in Thornbury.
"The purpose is to increase community perceptions of safety, and encourage friendliness and neighbourliness in the local area," she said.
The smile campaign has already been tested in the City of Port Phillip.
Streets in Port Melbourne and Elwood have been found to be the friendliest in that area.
A pedestrian will be smiled at or nodded to by one in 10 people walking past, according to Port Phillip Council's audit.
I can't resist. I do love this song - and the video - especially the Bowie montage bit.
Also, parts one and two of 'Jazzin for Blue Jean' - a short film by Bowie, directed by Julien Temple in 1984. The quality of the video isn't brilliant, but it's still fun to watch.
At least, if you're a Bowie fan, it's fun to watch. :-)
We have a new little kitten and she is so incredibly cute!
benedictesque was a bit hissy when he first met her. Since their first encounter, he has been coming into my bedroom where we're keeping her at the moment and looking poleaxed at her. Occasionally he makes an ominous rumbling noise and Dorothy (Dotty for short) just gets hissy back, or scampers and hides under my bedside cabinet.
And each time Benedict comes in, she gets up the nerve to go up to him, as I sit close and watch like a hawk, ready to grab either of them if they get cranky. She edges closer and closer to him, and then for a moment he'll sniff her nose and it's almost a harmonious moment.
Then Benedict backs away, rumbling more than ever, and leaves the room in a huff.
...and then, 5 minutes later, he comes back in and they go through the same procedure all over again.
We're being careful to pay both of them a lot of attention, so neither kitty feels neglected. :-)
